
45 members met at the Spa Hotel for the Friends Summer Tea. Scones, delicious cream cakes, and freshly brewed tea and coffee were enjoyed by us all.
It was an opportunity for members to say goodbye to Steve, who retired after more than 30 Years as Warden of Tunbridge Wells and Rusthall Commons. It was also an opportunity to meet Dan Colborne who has taken on the role as Ranger.
Clive’s Evans, made a presentation to David Wakefield in recognition of his service to the Friends, and thanked Terry Coulthard for organising a successful event, and arranging the beautiful bouquet of flowers presented to Penny.
He updated members on the success of the recent WildChild Forest Play sessions, membership had increased to more than 550. making the Friends the largest volunteer group in the borough. He also updated members on the projects currently being funded by the Friends. Lastly, John Barber gave a brief update on the All Abilities Path.
